Have you ever picked up a book or started a movie not just for entertainment but because you were craving a deeper conversation with someone or yourself afterward?
I have.
There are certain shows and stories I return to, not because I don’t know what happens, but because they bring up questions I can’t stop thinking about. These questions bring up a perspective, a memory, or a challenge—and I find myself wanting to sit down and just to unpack it all. To say, “Did that make you think?” or “What would you have done differently?”
As someone with a background in psychology, I’ve always been drawn to the thoughts and behaviors of people. What makes us do what we do? What are we really thinking when no one’s asking? I love the simple act of wondering—about others, about ourselves, about the little moments we rarely give words to. Along with my background in psychology and sociology I want to bring some knowledge.
Have you ever been in a room, quietly thinking something bold or deep, but holding it in because it didn’t feel like the “right” time or place? Maybe it felt too honest. Too random. Or maybe you feared that familiar eyebrow raise that tells you, “Now’s not the time.”
That’s OK. That’s normal.
I want to build a space where curiosity is encouraged, and honest, maybe even uncomfortable thoughts, are welcome. Where content—from books and movies to real-life observations—is just the starting point for a much bigger conversation.
My hope is that the posts you find here won’t just be something you scroll past. I want them to linger. To make you think. To spark questions in your own mind or in conversations with others. Maybe even to make you say, “I’ve never thought about it that way before.”
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a conversation starter. A brain picker. A place for people who love thinking deeply even when it’s messy or awkward or doesn’t have a neat answer.
